Rachelle  Pedersen

Rachelle Pedersen is an artist working in the medium of textiles on the body. She makes one off pieces which include many different mediums to produce a fusion of old world technique and worked detailing, with an undercurrent of experimental chaos.

Trained as a painter, Pedersen creates an innovative newfound approach to clothes making through discarding traditional design techniques and focusing instead on the process of experimentation. The uniqueness of her work is a reflection of her perception of the individual, a belief that one should never be told what to wear but should choose clothing that reflects the highest part of themselves.
